To most people, a headache is a headache. Regardless of the location in which it can be felt, or the strength or the pain, or the time it takes for it to subside - most people look upon a headache as a pesky, irritating fact of life. Interestingly, however, there are a number of different types of headache.
In this article, we will discuss one particular classification of headache known as "primary headaches". There are a number of different "types" of headaches underneath this umbrella term - and they are basically all in this category because of one thing - they are a function of themselves. In other words, the headache is a direct result of something happening in the body - and not a secondary effect, as would be the case with the other classification - "secondary headaches".
Let's take a closer look at the "primary headache" group, and see exactly what the different types of things are to look out for here.
The following are all types of primary headache. Some of them you will have heard of (probably the ones at the top of the list), and the others you will probably not have heard of. Regardless, they are all on the same level, meaning that they are indeed a function of themselves.
- Migraine
- Tension Headache
- Cluster Headache
- New Daily persistent Headache
Let's take a look at each one of these. A migraine is a very painful headache - most definitely the worst of the lot. It can be onset very suddenly, and last for a particularly long time. Thankfully, there are a number of natural products which will help to not only decrease the severity of migraine headaches, but also reduce the frequency with which they strike.
The next is the tension headache, which is caused when the muscles around the brain and head tense up. This causes a pulling sensation - and often results in a persistent, mild headache.
The other 2 types of primary headaches are offshoots of these first two. They come and go (or persist for even longer), and have a very spontaneous feature to their appearance.
Having identified the type that effects you the most, you should be able to find a treatment solution relevant to the exact headache.
